OPEN AUDITIONS FOR 'DAY OF THE GUN'!

Where: Jessup Community Hall - 2920 Jessup Rd. (Rt. 175), Jessup, MD 20794

We are seeking background actors and speaking roles.

Caucasian woman (principal) (45-55), fit, experienced horsewoman, for a Barbara Stanwyck, Maureen O'Hara, Joan Crawford, etc. -type role in an 1890s Montana ranch setting. She's an independent, fiery woman in a male-dominated world.

Caucasian woman (principal) (21-25), fit, experienced horsewoman (or willing to devote enough time to learn) to play a well-educated, independent, tomboy-at-heart type in an 1890s ranch setting.

Caucasian male (principal) (25-32), experienced horseman (or willing to devote enough time to learn) to play a vulnerable son whose aggression is actually a defensive response to his not being able to live up to his mother's expectations.

A host of featured roles (sheriff, ranch hands, doctor, merchants, banker, saloon people, blacksmith, gunslingers, etc. -- All ages; all types)

Background action players will have an opportunity to create their own characters (ranch hands, school teachers, merchants, ranch wives, etc.). They will costume their characters having referenced specific period (1890s) images and give them names. All background characters will be given character/player credit.

Louanna Lee is featured in Day of The Gun as "Sam", the constant companion of the amazing Grace, the performing mule.
